- Salinas intenta mostrar la tersura de su relación con el asesinado Luis Donaldo Colosio, pero el autor refuta que Salinas contribuyó a ´hacer bolas´ a los priístas y al propio Colosio con su doble discurso.
- Se le acusa de haber permitido que el crimen quedara ´sumergido en el misterio´ durante los ocho meses que le quedaban en la Presidencia.
