Artículo hace un repaso de la gestión como Virrey de Antonio María de Bucareli gobernó en un feroz ambiente de enemistades, Bucareli quien tras un incendio en el Palacio de gobierno y tras las quejas, reproches multiplicadas por las quemazones en la capital del virreinato dispuso que las inmediaciones de su residencia se instalaran bombas para sofocar todo fuego, consiguió que le autorizaran que amigos suyos cargo eminentes en la administración real, entre otras acciones.
